Every person that I have ever met, has run into obstacles at some point in their lives.  It does not matter how successful they are, there were challenges.  Many make success look easy.  But the truth is that many times these obstacles are difficult mentally, socially, spiritually or even physically.  One common factor among those that are successful (however you define success) is that when they hit the obstacle they did not quit.

These men and women did not shrink away from challenges. Instead, they examined deep within themselves and looked to see if they have what it takes to overcome.  Amazingly, within them was something that enables them to go on.  That something is what we at GRM refer to as GRIT.

Grit is that ability to look danger in the eye and take it on.  GRIT is that gumption.  GRIT is the ability to risk it all to follow your dreams.  GRIT is the heart to never give up.  No matter what the odds are. GRIT is what get those in addiction over those first few days of withdrawal and what keeps them clean.  GRIT is within all of us.  It is my hope in this series to help you bring out the GRIT within you so that WHEN you need it, it is there.
