He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. FACT: God is on my side. While man can beat my body, mind and spirit. They can not touch the true me. My God is watching over me, sustaining me and working for my benefit. It will not always seem to be so. When men and women bow their heads in Iran to accept the sword that will be cutting off, they are dedicated to God. They are trusting in Him in a moment that for most of us Americans would be written off as God’s failure. My friends, nothing could be further from the truth. Instead they stood as Shadrach, Meshach and Abendigo in front of the fiery furnace. “My God is capable of saving us from the flames, but even if He does not, we will not worship any God but the true God.” We seem to only believe in God when He gives us the answer we want.
FACT: God is on my side. He will take care of my enemies. Sit back and allow God to judge the actions of those that oppose me. My pride wants to rise up and defend myself and protect myself. Sometimes that works in the short run. However, the better result is to allow God to have the vengeance. With God there is no adverse side effects. He can take on my enemies in ways that I could not even imagine. Every morning and I mean EVERY morning I pray specifically for those that I know are my enemies. People who live in selfishness, bitterness and hate are brought before the King of Glory. He teaches me to love them.
FACT: God is on my side. Each and every day He has a hope and a purpose for me to achieve. He gives me the power to achieve those tasks. While my heart often breaks, He heals and restores my soul.
FACT: God is on my side. I do not have to be afraid of anything or anybody. My soul is in tune with the King of Glory. I will chase after Him with all my soul. I will take action in line with His teaching. When I obey, my heart sings and life is better.
FACT: God is on YOUR side too. My friends, walk through this world with an untouchable confidence in the power, love and determination of the King. He is out there fighting for you. Trust in Him. Be bold in your walk because He walks next to you. God is on our side. We will win.
