I am an American soldier. When I took the solemn oath to defend this great nation against all enemies, both foreign and domestic, I stood united with my fellow soldiers, bonded by a common purpose. Like so many others, my thoughts were solely fixed on foreign threats. Never did I imagine that one day I might find myself confronting enemies within our own borders, among my own countrymen.
Decades have passed since I laid down my commission in the United States Army, yet the oath I swore remains etched in my soul. Today, it resonates even more deeply than ever before. My eyes have been opened, and what I now see breaks my heart: domestic enemies rising in our midst, hidden in plain sight.
There are organizations, many funded by our own government, that perpetuate cycles of despair and dependence to justify their existence. These entities thrive by keeping the addicted chained to their vices, the mentally ill trapped in anguish, and the homeless abandoned without hope. They masquerade as necessary, deceiving lawmakers and the American people to secure funding. But in reality, they enslave our brothers and sisters, fellow citizens who deserve dignity, freedom, and a path to a better life.
These agencies boldly champion their so-called “evidence-based practices,” yet this allegiance only lasts as long as the evidence serves their financial interests. They willfully ignore proven solutions like proper nutrition, exercise, and deep spiritual connections; pillars of wellness grounded in sound evidence, because these approaches do not fill their coffers.
My fellow Americans, GRMOK is here to lead the charge for change. We are on a mission to break the chains of mental illness, addiction, sin, and shame; the very chains that bind so many to homelessness, dependence, and despair. We are here to restore hope, rebuild health, and reignite humanity.
In this great land of freedom and opportunity, every soul is Made for More. The streets may be crowded with struggle, and too many of our brothers and sisters have been left behind, but their worth is not measured by their circumstances. We must remember that every person, regardless of where they lay their head at night, carries the spark of divine purpose within them. Our nation was built on the belief that all are created equal, endowed by their Creator with unalienable rights; rights that include dignity, hope, and the chance for a better tomorrow.
As a follower of Jesus and an American patriot who cherishes the American dream, it is my duty to stand for those who have been silenced by hardship. Jesus Himself walked among the broken, offering love where the world offered rejection. And so must we. Let us not turn away from those in need but instead rise together, lifting up the fallen, reminding them that they are Made for More. Because here, in the land of liberty, no circumstance should define a person’s destiny. Their story is not over. Their fight is not done. And with God’s grace, they will step into the fullness of the life they were meant to live.
I am an American. I pledge allegiance to the stars and stripes, to the flag that endures as a symbol of liberty. It’s promise is freedom, and it is for freedom that I continue to fight. The battle is far from over, but together, we will prevail.
